Olesere Primary School (Kenya)

When Richard and Mona visited Kenya on holiday in 2022, they asked their tour guide if he could take them to his village to show them where he lived. During this visit to his village, Richard and Mona visited the local primary school, Olesere Primary School, where they met the children who attend the school and the headteacher.

The headteacher of Olesere Primary School told Richard and Mona that the children did not have enough desks to sit at, and as such it was making it very difficult for the children to learn. As a result, the MCS Foundation donated enough money to the school to allow them to buy 80 new desks for the children, providing each child with their own desk to learn at.

Richard and Mona’s tourist guide, as well as the headteacher of Olesere Primary School have both advised the MCS Foundation of the significant positive impact that this has had for the children attending the school. They shared that the children are now more excited to attend school each day and are learning in a classroom more conducive to learning.

Thanks to the foundation’s support, we have seen the program’s positive impact, fostering hope and creating brighter futures for thousands of young people, enabling them to lead change in their own lives, schools, and communities.
